As I thought, now on Pinzolo's lift website there is a new amendment about the date: the start of works for the new cableway connection is fixed for December 2010 ( "inizio lavori Dicembre 2010"). As I think it's quite difficult to work when the landscape is covered with snow, it's easy to suppose that everything will postponed to next year...provided that the Tribunal has come to a decision..

Not necessarily....Last year in The Polsa(TN) have positioned the chair lift that links to Valentino,including the piers on the plinths,(using a helicopter) IN A WEEK!!!!

In the partner website Funivie.org there's the communication that everything is postponed to 2011.

ps: Marcello, in Polsa the work consisted in the re-building of an old SHORT chairlift. In Pinzolo-Campiglio, everything is totally new: an automatic gondola on a longer track, with two middle-stations. Even if they wanted, it would have been impossible to finish the work before next winter season.

Leitner will build the lift. Everything seemed to be ok with the procedures, but they have lost 1 year... It's not possible to build the lift this summer: It's too difficult, there's not enough time. Maybe they can go on working, but it would be quite improbable to finish before next winter season. Everything is postponed to 2011 (let's hope....)

But what may be happen before 2011?
